The Re-Expo is focused on all the ways we can work towards sustainability in our lives: Re-use, Re-cycle, Re-power to clean energy, Re-plant natives, and Re-think.
The day will run from 10am to 3pm, including a range of stallholders. If the weather is fine, some of the stalls will be held in the grounds. Otherwise, head into the parish centre.
Uniting Church Minister Rev Matt Trounce said there would be a mix of products and information on offer on the day, as well as some entertainment.
"We hope to give some simple take-home ideas to help make a difference to the environment," he said.
This is the second annual event, which is a joint project between Lithgow Environment Group and the Lithgow Uniting Church.
"The Uniting Church at both a state and national level have put our a directive asking us to think about our impact on the environment, ourselves and within the community," Mr Trounce said.
"Through a partnership with Lithgow Environment Group, we were able to install solar panels on the roof [of the parish centre]."
During the day, there will be coffee and sandwiches for sale, and there will be a visit from St George Brass Band.
Mr Trounce urged visitors to also take the opportunity to visit the gardens in the church ground, which are magnificent at this time of year.
Coming up this Sunday, the Hoskins family will be gathering for the annual family mass at Hoskins Uniting Church. The following Friday, on November 1, the Beehive Garden Party will be held in the grounds.
