A top knock by Sam Cameron (94) set Portland up for opening round success.
Hartley won the toss and elected to bat. A mid order stand from Josh Blanchard (60) and Darren Duncan (63), with support from Shorne Holt (23), set Hartley up with a total of 7-208.
The Portland bowling attack kept Hartley on its toes, with wickets going to Isaac Fardell, Shane Green, Sam Cameron and Nate Green.
The winning innings was built by number one batsman Fardell (54) and number three Cameron (94). With handy totals from D Scott (19) and B Miles (14 not out), Portland finished on 6-209 with four overs remaining.
The bowling attack shared the scalps, with Mitch Blanchard, Holt, C Keller and S Peesa all taking one. Josh Blanchard took two.
La Salle Hornets v Lithgow Valley Cricket Club
Lithgow Valley Cricket Club lost just three wickets on its way to demolishing La Salle Hornet's set total in their first round bout on Saturday.
Lachlan McMahon got the La Salle Hornets off to a good start at number two, finishing with 52, after losing opener Lachlan Yates for 6.
Jordan Smith (30) and Luke Brown (45) were also in good touch to take the team to a total of 6-193.
Juzen Takahira was the best of the bowlers for Valley, finishing with three wickets. Aron Crowder, NL Gardner Miller and D Stern took one scalp each.
It was a solid team effort in reply, with Eli Felton (41), NL Gardner Miller (22), Nic Kenniff (43) and Hayden Wren (77*) combining to secure a total of 3-194 and the win.
La Salle's wickets were taken by McMahon (2) and Will Brown (1).
Lidsdale v Hotel CC
Hotel put together a winning run chase on Saturday, after sending Lidsdale in to bat first.
Lidsdale reached a total of 97, which was quickly reached by Hotel CC without the loss of a wicket.
Jon Cronin top scored with 82, with Blake Caldwell contributing 15.
