Players travelled from Mudgee, Blayney, Orange, Dapto, Lithgow, Wallerawang and Portland to compete.
The tournament is played as two bowl triples over 15 ends, during Thursday and Friday. Two games Thursday morning, one game Thursday afternoon followed by two games on Friday.
To be successful in the tournament, teams have to be consistent against strong and maybe weaker opposition; some teams falling foul to losses against inferior opposition.
Lithgow local, Kevin Fitzpatrick brought a strong team up from Hazelbrook and proved up to the task, taking out first prize money by winning five games with a shot margin of 39.
Running second with five winning games and a margin of 36 was Frank Mierczak, Gary Vidler and Ian Birk; a three shot difference deciding first and second for the prize money.
Closeness of competition can be seen when you compare third prize winners to the top two teams.

The Portland trio can consider themselves unlucky not to have finished higher.
Bathurst City teammates Alex Birkens, Paul Reece and Geoff Thorne, with four wins and +11 managed fourth position.
All players spoke highly of the format used in the tournament and City can expect higher numbers making themselves available for next years event.
Availability of the third green for next year will see an obvious increase in player participation.
