Here is everything you need to know about the Lithgow Halloween Festival, 2019.
WHEN: All the fun will take place this Saturday.
WHERE: All over town! You'll struggle to escape the Halloween fun around town, but truthfully...why would you want to?
Lithgow will burst into Halloween light on Saturday with the entertainment and costumes all over town.
HIGHLIGHTS
The Cockroaches are reuniting. That's right, THAT 80's band are getting back together from 8.45pom to 10pm at the Cook Street Plaza stage. Check out the rest of the band schedule here.
Street Parade: Everyone is invited to join the street parade from 6pm on Saturday evening. This parade is the largest Halloween parade in all of Australia. What more of an excuse do you need to dance down the main street of Lithgow. The walk goes from Pioneer Park Main Street near Bridge Street intersection and walks to Cook Street Plaza.
Amusement Rides: You can enjoy family rides from 3pm until 9pm on Saturday. Have a turn on the Circus Train Obstacle Course, the Super Slide, the Auto Racer, Body Rock or Round Up.
Food, food, food: There's delicious food stalls and retail stalls around town along with the wonderful local restaurants. Market stalls will be open from 3pm to 9.30pm.
Vampire Caberet: Are you into being spooked? You can enjoy some scary circus acts at 5.30 (ie in the light of day.) If you're a little braver, check out the tricks of this vampire quartet. There will be gravity defying acrobatics and flames! This later one starts at 7.30. Both performances are at the Esbank stage.
Lithgow Halloween Ghost Trains: You can ride the 1930s heritage carriage between Lithgow and Mount Victoria. Shuttle one departs at 2.30pm and shuttle two departs at 4.30pm. Find tickets here.
Black Night Feast: Get amongst the all-night Mexican inspired feast at the Foundations in Portlands. You ticket includes canapes and drinks on arrival, feasting dinner, all night entertainment, table wines, on-site parking and on-site camping by request. Tickets are here, they're $125 and there's still some left.
Haunted fun house: Check out 29 Main Street, Lithgow for the thrill of a true Halloween experience. Open from 3pm to 9pm.
Best dressed competition: Isn't this what we're all here for? Best dressed competition will take place after the parade at 6.30pm on the Cook Street Plaza Stage. There are six categories including 12 and under boy and 12 and girl, teenage girl, teenage boy, adult female, adult male. If you're handed a ticket to the competition throughout the afternoon you're in the running!
