Anglers were also treated to a massive prize pool taking home several goodies from the day.
Craig Brown was the lucky man drawn for a chance to win $10,000 thanks to Optus but the odds were against him and he left with a $50 visa card.
Wallerawang Central Acclimatisation Society (CAS) secretary Ray Tang said he was pleased with this year's turnout.
"The weather's been good, we got lucky and it's just great to see so many people and kids out fishing, being at one with nature," he said.
He said because the lake was filled with so many people it was hard to find a spot to set up.
"There was people everywhere, it fills me with so much joy to see so many people having a go and getting involved in fishing," he said.
Tang also wanted to thank sponsors for their continued support and everyone who helped out on the day.
"So much goes into organising an event like this and we've had a hectic day but a great one," he said.
