It seems Tarana is all about trains at present - first it was the Bathurst Bullet trains, now stopping at Tarana and Rydal.

Celebrations included a great breakfast on the station when the first Bullets came through, complete with a brass band from the Mitchell Conservatorium of Music.
And now it's a steam train, on its way to Tarana on Sunday, October 27 to visit the thriving Tarana Farmers Markets.
The Lachlan Valley Railway Society will be running a special heritage train to Tarana and Bathurst.
The train will consist of LVR's 1930's style, corridor compartment carriages.
Preparations are being made to feature LVR's 120-year old Express Passenger Engine 3237.
The loco is currently at Thirlmere having new super heater elements fitted. LVR volunteers and maintenance crew are making every effort to have the loco ready for transfer to Lithgow in time for this trip.
Lachlan Valley Railway is a non-profit, railway preservation society based in the NSW Central Western town of Cowra.
The crew are volunteers and the proceeds from the trip are used to fund preservation of historic trains and steam locomotives.
Passengers can choose to take the Lithgow to Tarana return journey, or Tarana to Bathurst and back, or indeed travel all the way from Lithgow to Bathurst and return.
The trip is programmed around the XPT from Sydney, so it will be possible to come up and back by rail from Sydney for the day. The train will stand at the historic Tarana station for about an hour, from around 11.15am, so for those that can't make the trip there'll be a chance explore the carriages, and even the steam engine.
Tarana Markets co-ordinator, Annie Cook, said this was a great opportunity for a fun family day and a rare chance for children and the young at heart to experience a bygone era.
"Who doesn't love a steam train?"
Great for children, a real Thomas the Tank Engine!
And of course a great opportunity for all the passengers to visit the markets. While in Tarana, the passengers will have a great opportunity to explore the markets, and visit the Tarana Hotel and the recently reopened Mama Snow's cafe.
The markets are held every month, on the fourth Sunday, and are a terrific, true farmers' market. All stall holders are from the Central West and the Blue Mountains, and they grow, produce or create all their products. It's a thriving market, that supports the stall holders, the local community, and in particular the Tarana Rural Fire Service.
The journey begins at Lithgow at 10.15am. Bookings are essential, and can be made on the Lachlan Valley Railway website, www.lvr.com.au.
