It is alleged the Lithgow boy was discovered inside a car in Malvern Street just after 8pm on Wednesday night.
He has been charged with entering a vehicle without consent and larceny. He will face Lithgow Children's Court on November 14.
Break-in
Police are investigating a theft from a car parked at Wirana Place on October 16.
The vehicle was broken into between 3am and 5am. Personal items were stolen from inside the car.
