The Wallerawang Community and Sports Club kicked off its bowls season with the start of Club Triples.
In the early games Mark Perry, Daryl and Tony McSorley took on Jody Taggett's team.
After a very tight game with neither side able to take control it was Taggett who was in front when they ran out of ends.
Chris Neaves, Tony Holden and Peter Matchett played the Nunan family. The three generations on Nunans (Lockie, David and Jason) gave a lot of cheek before going down by five shots.
In the socials Mike McNamara, Greg Tilley and J B Brown did a job on Pommie Williams, Tiger Feltham and Ross Harrington.
Social bowls are on every Saturday afternoon with a 1pm start. We hope to run Sunday morning barefoot bowls for all classes of players so keep an eye on the notice board.
In the coming weeks we have the fours and the mixed pairs closing this week so get your teams in.
The THURSDAY TURNABOUT TRIPLES start on Thursday, October 10 with names to be in by 4.45 for a 5pm start.
All players are welcome to play with teams and single entries taken. This is a fun night with prize money, bowls and a meal all for $5.
