Lithgow again showed their dominance within the Blue Mountains when they had four of their members selected to represent the Blue Mountains team in the NSW Country Championships to be held at Bathurst.
Selected were Darren Hunter, Harry Bender, John Chadwick and Anthony Boza.
On the local scene, Saturday's competition was a two ball best ball with a single event held in conjunction.
The course is slowly coming back to its best following some much needed rain and this was shown with some great scoring.
Nine golfers scored 40 points and better with Dave Thompson leading the scoring with a magnificent 44 points following his one over par 73 off the stick.
After several weeks off John Murnane made a successful comeback to golf when he combined with low marker Steve Hall to amass 48 points and take out the two ball event.
Runner up on 47 points was the team of Dave Thompson and Michael Bennett.
Nearest to the pin awards went to John Chadwick, Geoff Brooks, Troy Luka, Michael Saville and Graham Dean.
Those to figure in the Ball competition were Monty Van Veen and Ian Downey, Graham Dean and Anthony Oldfield, Rob George and Michael Saville, Paul Stewart and Mitch Luka, Rob Millar and Troy Luka and Al Mostyn and Ken Mitchell.
Wednesday, October 2 nine hole event: Winner was Geoff Brooks playing off (18) for 27 points. Runner up on a countback was Mick Bennett (26) 24 points.Third went to Darren Healey (20) also on 24 points with fourth spot going to Peter Williams (28) on 24 points.
Balls went out to 20 ocb.
Friday, October 4 nine hole competition went to Howie Fisher (52) on 30 points. Runner up was Mitch Luka (22) on 29 points.Balls cut out on 28 points neat.
