It's been a long wait for Lithgow to get its very own Hungry Jacks and while the site is starting to take shape on the corner of the Great Western Highway and Caroline Avenue, it looks like we're going to have to wait a little longer.

After eight years waiting for approval, extensive earthworks started to take place back in March and by July, Isaac Property Developments director Ben Isaac said there was an opening date programmed in time for the annual Bathurst 1000 race week.
But unfortunately, due to inevitable delays involving weather and rock we're going to have to wait a few more weeks to sink our teeth into a juicy whopper.

"The project is progressing well, however we encountered some delays which has pushed back our expected opening to late October," Mr Isaac said.
So, while Hungry Jacks will miss the craziness or race week it will hopefully be open in time for the annual Lithgow Halloween.
