Jed Michael Williams, 30, from Speers Point, was found guilty of common assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Lithgow Local Court.
The court heard Williams had been drinking in the Wallerawang pub the morning of July 25, 2018. Early in the afternoon, in the smoking area, it was reported he touched another patron on the back of the ear. The other patron was annoyed and went inside.
Later in the afternoon, once again in the smoking area, words were exchanged between the two men before Williams punched the man in the face and a fist fight began.
Williams was evicted from the pub. Employees, concerned he may try to sneak back into the premises, blocked his way. As Williams pushed his way back into the pub, the court heard he struck one staff member in the face, causing her immediate pain, and she fell to the ground.
The fight between Williams and the other patron resumed, before it was broken up by staff.
