According to Weatherzone, approximately 41mm has fallen in the area over the past two days.
Chifley-Lithgow Rural Fire Service's Brett Taylor said the issue remained that underground coal seams in the area were alight.
"In terms of the fire in the bush, yes, it is out," he said.
"In areas where the coal was dug up, it continues to smoulder and put out heat."
A crew was due to report back to the Chifley Fire Control Centre on Wednesday after investigating the site. There have been daily patrols since the fire began on September 6.
A range of natural disaster measures have been made available by the NSW Government to help communities affected by the recent bushfires.
