The proceeds from the CD sales go towards suicide prevention program 'Let's Talk Lithgow', which is auspiced by LINC.
The Out of the Dark CD was created by bringing together a team of musicians, poets, writers and audio production professionals from Lithgow and the surrounding area whose lives had been touched by the tragic deaths of friends from the Lithgow community who had taken their own lives.
The CD explores many different perspectives on hard times and how we all need to support each other with kindness and understanding to make it through.
Making the CD was a healing process; focusing creativity it demonstrated the power of talking and sharing each other's experiences in way that highlights the similarities in our experience rather than focusing on the differences.
The members of Trybal Productions all passionately believe that there is strength in community and we can all contribute to each others welfare by recognizing the pain of individuals and communities and working towards healing.
The CD is available for sale at gigs across the Central West, online at 'Band camp' and also at Lithgow's own High Street Music. All of the proceeds from sales goes to 'Let's Talk Lithgow'.
The donations received will be used to provide community mental health education, and suicide prevention activities and events.
