Students from Year 7 to 12 joined in the annual careers expo at Lithgow High School on Friday, September 13.
Held in the school hall, the expo brings together a range of options for students to consider for their future and to help decide on subjects for their senior years at school.
"It is very important in helping to increase students' career aspirations," Lithgow High School careers advisor Rebecca Hamment said.
"It helps to engage students in planning about their next step towards their senior years and what they want to do following school."
There was a mix of employers, universities and opportunities for further education showcased on the day, including Charles Sturt, Western Sydney, Macquarie, Canberra, Wollongong, Newcastle, New South Wales, Notre Dame, Torrens and Australian Catholic universities as well as TAFE, Skillset, the William Angliss Hospitality College, the Academy of Music and Performing Arts, Australian Institute of Music, The Hotel School, and Academy of interactive Entertainment.
Education opportunities were on show from Australian Taxation Office, Centennial Coal, Sarina Russo Apprenticeships, Training Services NSW, Australian Defence Forces, Energy Australia, APM Services for Disabilities, Master Builders Association of NSW, Master Builders Association of NSW and Citywide Building and Training Services.
There were special presentations from the Universities Admissions Centre and NSW Education Standards Authority.
