The event transforms an ancient rainforest into contemporary art gallery.
Scheduled for April 9 to May 10, 2020, Sculpture at Scenic World attracts local, national and international artists, lured by a prize pool of $30,000 including the coveted $20,000 Scenic World Major Award.
Artworks are presented along a 2.4km boardwalk in the heart of the Jamison Valley.
Artists selected will be in the running for a raft of awards, including the $5000 Environment Award, the $3000 Artist Peer Award, the $2000 Scenic World Staff Choice Award, and the $1000 Carrington Hotel People's Choice Prize. All shortlisted artists will also receive a $1000 artist fee for exhibiting and receive unparalleled installation support.
Curator and Exhibition Manager, Justin Morrissey, said the exhibition aims to showcase innovative installation and sculptural practice in a unique setting.
"We have power running along the boardwalk which enables artists interested in sound, light, video and projection to experiment in the stunning natural environment of the Blue Mountains," he said.
