La Salle's pocket rocket Nathan Marshall is set to shine on the hockey field when he heads to Hobart from October 1 to 8.

The 13 year-old was recently selected as part of the under 13s boys NSW Hockey squad.
He was picked from his performance at the recent state championships in Grafton and further trials at Port Macquarie.
"There were four teams and probably around 40 of us," Marshall said.
He said he felt honoured to be picked for the team and looked forward to the competition.

"I get to play at the Tasmania Hockey Centre so that will be a cool experience," he said.
Marshall also plays hockey in the Lithgow competition in which he said would help him in the lead up to the event.
"I'll be practicing running because I'll be playing multiple games a day," he said.
He also wanted to thank his family for their support when it comes to his love of hockey.
