Come be part of history to celebrate 150 years of the Tarana Public School and the story is still unfolding.
If you attended Tarana School, the community wants you to be there on the day to celebrate.
"Bring your photos and memories to share," one of the day's organisers, Joan Meredith, said in a statement.
"Tarana is a very unique village with a very unique history dating back over 179 years to my knowledge."
On the day wander around the village and inspect 10 of the oldest buildings.
There will be a display of historical photos in the store and a display of school photos at the hotel.
There will be an historical talk at Mumma Snow's Kitchen and the cutting of the anniversary cake at the Hotel.
Look out for more information coming up closer to the event.
