In what was one of the toughest days to play golf for some time at the Lithgow Golf Club, low marker Justin McCann made light work of the conditions to dominate the day.
The event was a two ball best ball with a single event held in conjunction with the field having to contend with icy near zero temperatures and gale force winds.
McCann was not effected by the conditions to card a superb score of 41 personal points to take out the single event and also combined with Gary Marshall to secure the two ball event with a combined score of 47 points.
Runners-up were Ben Oldfield and his uncle on 43 points.
The nearest to the pins again saw McCann show his accurate iron play picking up two with the other awards going to Harry Bender, Peter Thompson and John Bird.
Balls went to Greg Jackson and Ian Downey, Dave Titcume and Des Roots, Dave Warren and Peter Warren and Rob Hawes and Anthony Oldfield. Balls cut out on 40 points ocb.
Next Saturday's event (September 14) will be a single stableford and the Lithgow Vets will be on Monday, September 16.
Winner: Brian Judge 31 points.
Runner up: Jason Dunn 29.
Ball winners: Dean Stafford, Max Nightingale and Ben Futcher. Balls cut out on 26 ocb.
