The Lithgow Workmen's Club senior teams played in their elimination semi or major semi finals on Sunday, September 8 at Bathurst's Proctor Park.
Workies' third grade played a local derby against Lithgow City Rangers at 11am. The side finished the season in sixth while Rangers finished third.
They started the day off strong for the club, winning the local derby and knocking Rangers out of the finals with a final score of 3-1.
Goal scorers were Nathan Redding, Dan Boyd-Skinner and Jack Mantle.
In second grade, Workies Red played Panorama Black. Red finished third and Black finished sixth.
Red came home with a 5-1 win with some cracker goals scored by Seton Carter, Eli Shirt, Jimmy Gibbs-Minner and Hayden Ticehurst.
Also in second grade, Black took on a contesting Panorama White with both sides finishing fourth and fifth on the ladder.
Black unfortunately went down 4-0, finishing the game with only 10 men when Jon Cronin was in the wrong place at the wrong time to receive his second yellow card.
First grade is straight through to the grand final after winning their major semi against Abercrombie 2-1. Daniel Stern scored both goals for club.
It was a gutsy game with first grade finishing first and Abercrombie finishing second in a competitive season.
