The event, held in the school hall, showcased the time-consuming major works that the students have been working on since term four in 2018.
The works included art, industrial and wood works. Unfortunately, the textile items could not be displayed as they were getting marked in Sydney.
Later in the night music and drama works were also showcased.
Lithgow High student Cameron Lyons was commissioned by the school to create a new lectern.
"I was offered the chance to create a lectern and I took it on because I wasn't sure and couldn't make my mind up about what I wanted to make," he said.
Cameron said there were weeks of trial and error with design options.
"I wasn't sure whether I wanted curved sides but when trying that, it just chipped away, I also had designed a step but it just didn't look right," he said.
According to Cameron there was a lot of problem solving that went into creating the lectern.
"Creating the joints for the podium happened accidentally and then I just kept working until I could figure out how to do it again," he said.
"But like anything it was one step forward two steps back."
Cameron was working on the lectern until the last possible moment before submission.
"We decided to add the blue plastic over the LHS on the front because that is the school colour so it adds something a little extra," he said.
"It was really complicated but I did the best I could."

Cameron said it felt good knowing that his work was going to stay at the school as a token of his hard work over the past two years.
Other works from students included a timber shield from the video game Skyrim and a chess table complete with chess board and peices.
Please note no photos could be taken of artworks, as they have not been marked. Look out for photos of these works after the HSC marking is complete later in the year.
