The September sunshine has been welcome but Lithgow residents have been warned to get set for another blast of winter chills this week.

The Bureau of Meteorology's MetEye forecasts are predicting snow to begin to fall in the region, beginning near Jenolan Caves, on Friday, September 6, from about 7pm in the evening.
But 10pm, the area affected by snow will include Oberon and Yetholmem the prediction states.
Overnight, the area may spread to areas closer to Lithgow, as shown on the map below.
Lithgow's temperatures are expected to remain warm on Thursday and Friday, with a top of 22 and 19 degrees respectively, before the sudden cold change overnight on Saturday.
Saturday is expected to have a top of 9 degrees, with Sunday and Monday to continue the chilly trend topping out at 11.
The weather will finally start to warm again on Wednesday, which will return to 17.
