The junior and senior Lazers held their 2019 presentation at the Lithgow Workies Club on Friday, August 23.

The club had its biggest turn up in a number of years, of around 150 players and parents, with many taking the opportunity to attend the club for dinner.
Chair of directors Richard Marjoram welcomed everyone on behalf of his fellow directors, Heidi Inwood, David Swift and John Cox.
He congratulated all the coaches, assistant coaches, managers and most importantly the junior and senior players on their commitment and hard work during the 2019 season.
Marjoram said to have good representative teams you had to have a strong association and more importantly have a strong local competition.
He also thanked those that helped in refereeing during the representative season.
Richard then called upon associate referee director Scott Simcoe, who spoke about how grateful he was for the people that have refereed during the year, whether that be in the competition, Western Junior League, D league, Country Championships or State Cup.
"To all of those referees we say thank you, with no referees there is no chance of our youth competing in these important competitions," Simcoe said.
Next to the stage was Darryl Goodwin, who thanked everyone for supporting the club during the long season and the sportsmanship shown.
Lithgow Lazers coach David Swift was next on stage and he spoke about the season they had, the good and the bad.
Swift thanked retiring captain Adam Marjoram for his service and commitment for many years to the team, having played more then 150 games with the side. Swift presented Adam with two gifts to remember his time with the Lazer team.
Associate coaching director Adam Marjoram called all the coaches up on stage;
- Under 12 girls: Kimberley Roberts,
- Under 12 boys Susie Morris,
- Under 14 girls (white) Scott Doonan,
- Under 14 girls (red) David Lincoln,
- Under 14 boys Scott Simcoe,
- Under 16 girls Jason Roberts,
- Under 16 boys Heidi Inwood and
- Under 18 boys Adam Marjoram.
Marjoram thanked all the coaches for their time and commitment during 2019,
"I know it is not a easy job trying to teach new skills, travelling to venues and keeping all team players happy and performing to get good results," he said.
Each coach spoke about their team, assistant coaches and managers. The coaches presented their players Lazer leggings for the girls and Lazer long sleeve t-shirts for the boys.
They also presented their team player awards:
- Under 12 girls received a trophy each with what they gave to the team
- Under 12 Boys Commitment Awards: Archie Morris, Kyan Campbell, Curtis Brown and Lincoln Hutchison
- Under 14 Girls (white) Players Player: Tayah Crook and Best and Fairest: Brielle Wilson
- Under 14 Girls (red) Players Player: Ella Houlison and Coaches Award: Maggie Thompson
- Under 14 Boys MVP: Jai Simcoe, Mitchell Wallace and Taj Jenkins.
- Under 16 Girls MVP: Reagan Sanderson and Coaches Award: Imogen Dellabosca.
- Under 16 Boys Players Player: Kade Inwood and Coaches Player: Lachlan Kendall.
- Under 18 Boys Players Player: Zeke Evans and Defensive Award: Luke Thompson.
The perpetual trophies were the announced:
- The Rae Swift Recognition Award: Scott Simcoe
- The Ian Big Bird Pilley Award: Ryan Bird
- The Richard ans Jill Marjoram Club Person of the Year Award: Kellie Campbell.
The Peter Pender Achievement Certificates were awarded to some 24 players that made higher basketball achievements during 2019, a great number for a small association.
In finishing up Julia Swift, Peta Gillard, Heidi Inwood, Jill Marjoram, Kellie Wilson and John Cox were given gifts for working hard during the senior season doing bench duties and other managerial work.
Richard Marjoram finished the night by thanking all for attending and hope they all return to represent a great basketball association in 2020.
