Police allege a Landrover stolen from a Ben Bullen home was used to lead officers on a series of pursuits through Dubbo on Tuesday, August 27.
The vehicle, a Landrover Freelander, was reported stolen at about 6pm on Monday from a home on the Castlereagh Highway at Ben Bullen, north of Lithgow.
Dubbo police visited a Corbett Street home on Tuesday morning to speak to a 19-year-old man and 25-year-old woman.
Police allege the pair got in the stolen Landrover Freelander and drove away.
The pair were pursued by police for about 40 minutes before safety concerns led police to abandon pair. A short time later, police saw the vehicle travelling in Kensington Avenue.
The car was then allegedly driven at police before it was driven to the top-level car park at what was believed to be the Orana Mall shopping centre.
Police allege the man and woman ran from the car and were arrested after a short foot pursuit.
The man was charged with breaching bail, breaking and entering, stealing a motor vehicle, triggering a police pursuit, using a weapon to resist arrest and supplying a prohibited drug.
He was bail refused to appear before Dubbo Local Court on Tuesday. The woman remained in police custody on Tuesday with charges expected to be laid.
