A WOMAN will face court after she was arrested following a pursuit with police, where road spikes were deployed near Lithgow.

About 1.45pm on Tuesday, August 27, police noticed a Holden Astra, which was allegedly stolen, travelling south on the Castlereagh Highway at Capertee.
Police further allege the car was earlier involved in a fail to pay for petrol at a Capertee service station.
Police attempted to pull the car over however, the driver continued driving, and a pursuit commenced.
Road spikes were deployed further down the highway at Lidsdale, north of Lithgow.

The spikes deflated both rear tyres which forced the car to stop.
The 20-year-old female driver, the sole occupant of the car, was arrested and taken to Lithgow Police Station.
She was charged with take and driver conveyance, larceny, disqualified driver, not obey direction of police, not keep left of dividing line, and dishonestly obtain property by deception.
The woman was refused bail and is due to appear in Lithgow Local Court on Wednesday, August 28.
