There were a few tears as students from La Salle Academy's sister school in Japan bade Lithgow farewell on Monday morning, August 26.

The students, from TOKE High School, arrived at the school on August 14 and have been throwing themselves into community activities as well as classes with the Lithgow students.
As well as taking the opportunity to visit some of the region's Indigenous cultural sites of significance, including Blackfellows Hands, they took a flying trip into Sydney to visit a (little chilly) Manly Beach.
