After a warm Saturday and Sunday that brought well above average temperatures, a cool change moved through late on Sunday that has dropped the mercury significantly.
Lithgow hit 19 degrees on Sunday and Oberon saw a top of 16 degrees, which is up on the long-term average for both locations. Bathurst also pushed past 20 degrees on Sunday, which is well up on the long-term average of 13 degrees for the month.
Oberon is only set to hit nine degrees on Monday, however, and Bathurst 10 degrees.
The Bureau of Meteorology says snow is possible on Monday in Orange, Blayney, Oberon and between Bathurst and Lithgow.
