The purple ladies were dominant and lead in the first half with a shot from Clare Bosman in the first two minutes.
Emily Thompson bagged one off a short corner, followed by Amelia Leard who found the back of the net twice.
With a 4-nil buffer it could have been five if Ashley Luka's hit hadn't lobbed over the top of the net.
Heading into second half the 'Feds were not willing to leave without getting some numbers on the score board and turned the pressure on.
India Draper smashed one into the net followed by another from teammate Millah Allcorn.
The 'Feds kept Panthers out from scoring in the last 30 minutes but were unable to find the back of the net leaving Panthers with a 4-2 victory and another chance at the grand final.
Lithgow Panthers coach David Marshall said he was pleased with the girls' match intensity.
"I thought our intensity today was a lot better than it has been over the last couple of weeks.
"Today we made the most of our chances I thought our first half was outstanding," he said.
Marshall said the 'Feds stepped up in the second half putting obvious pressure on the Panthers.
"They put a lot more pressure on us I thought they stepped it up a notch and did play very well.. obviously they scored two goals and we didn't score any in that second half.
"Our defence went a little bit missing, it was a bit loose in the marking area but that's something we will work on before next week," he said.

"That four goal buffer I think made everyone take their foot off the pedal but moving forward that's something we can work on for our game next week."
Marshall said there were no particular standouts and it was more of a team effort.
"It was a team effort, they worked well together and worked hard which is a good thing.
"Our strikers played well up front today they pressed and they knew what they had to do and done it quite well," he said.
Next week the Panthers will play again for a grand final spot against the winner out of CYMS and St Pat's, and Marshall said his team would be training hard in the lead up.
"We'll be training hard and hopefully make the most of next week, we're keen to make sure we get to the grand final," he said.
Despite Orange's 4-2 loss captain Ellen Warner said she enjoyed the game and was proud of her squad.
"I think we really came back in the third quarter which was really amazing and we were so strong still from being 4-0 behind.
"Those two goals really lifted us up, I think we definitely scared them in that last half that's the beauty of our team we never give up," she said.
"We just kept going, kept playing and kept fighting."
Warner said she was disappointed that her team didn't get the win but overall the 'Feds had a great season.
"We're so lucky to play with what is like a family, we see each other every week and get a long so well, we really want to work for each other and we've been here for each other week in and week out.
'We are all about team work we complemented each other so well on the field today," she said.
