AUGUST is shaping up to be a white around the Lithgow region with more snow forecast for Monday.
In the wake of the region's white weekend last Saturday and Sunday, the Bureau of Meteorology's MetEye website is predicting more to come early next week.
MetEye is showing snowfalls beginning early Monday morning to the south-west of Lithgow around Shooters Hill and then spreading further west through Blayney and Mount Canobolas by 10am.

The weather forecast is for a partly cloudy day with a top of just nine degrees Celsius and a 60 per cent chance of rain.
Snow showers are expected above 800 metres but the good news for motorists is there is no sign of falls at this stage to the west of Lithgow.
The Great Western Highway between Lithgow and Bathurst was shut by snow and ice several times over the weekend, creating havoc for travellers trying to get to Sydney for sporting fixtures, appointments and holidays.
