It's straight into the semi-finals for our Lithgow Panthers hockey teams after the final round of the regular season was snowed out on Saturday.
The Lithgow Panthers men's team was supposed to meet Parkes for the final time before finals on Saturday and, while officials held off on calling off the match in the hope it would be possible to play at the Lithgow field, it was abandoned.
The Lithgow Panthers men will host the semi-final this Saturday after finishing at the top of the table on 26 points. They will take on Bathurst St Pat's. The minor semi-final will be played between Parkes United and the Orange Wanderers.
Lithgow Panthers women's team will be contesting the minor semi against Confederates at Lithgow this weekend. The Panthers finished the regular season in third spot behind Orange CYMS and Bathurst St Pat's.
Lithgow Zig Zag is out of the competition, after finishing in last place.
