Charolais are the only unbeaten side remaining in the Lithgow Table Tennis Association summer competition and are outright leaders after two rounds, having enjoyed the bye this week.

Spinners stole the jump on Loopers and raced out to an early 7-3 lead. A 6-2 Loopers run brought it level at 9-all and entering the doubles the teams were still tied at 12-all. Spinners grabbed the advantage by winning the first doubles rubber 2-1 but Loopers ripped through the second 2-0 to snatch a 15-14 victory.
A solid team effort from Loopers saw Michael Wood record 4-3, Roy Barlow break even at 4-4 and Mark McAulay went the distance to finish 4-5.
Riza Wiradi continued his good form for Spinners with a 6-1 result, while Megan Kappos went 3-5 and Malcolm Jefferies lost all his singles 2-1 for an unlucky 3-6.
Grippers opened with a 6-1 burst against Smashes and were never headed. Smashes made a match of it, getting back to 7-5 down, but Grippers kicked again to finish the singles with an unassailable 13-7 gap. Smashes won the first doubles 2-0 and Grippers the second 2-1 for a finalscoreline of Grippers 15, Smashes 10.
Linda and Lou Kappos led the way for Grippers at 6-1 and 5-2 respectively, with Shane Eagle supporting on 2-4.
None of the Smashes players could get a positive result, with Kelly Gurney returning 3-4, Leon Rust 3-5 and Sharnie Roberts 2-4.
Charolais had the bye.
