Gang Gang Gallery will be holding a special art exhibition from October 4-28 to celebration 150 years of the Zig Zag Railway.
As part of the celebration, the Zig Zag Steam Art Prize will be held, which will be open to all artists in NSW to enter.
The artworks are encouraged to explore the train's construction, the line, the viaducts and stations, passengers, train staff, the environment, construction, crashes and its time as a tourist endeavour.
A prize of $1500 will be awarded to the winning artwork owner along with a $500 peoples choice award.
All art mediums will be considered including but not limited to painting, works on paper, photography and sculpture.
Artists will need to provide an entry form and image of their artwork to the gallery by Monday, September 9 at 6pm to be considered for the exhibition. See the Gang Gang Gallery website www.gggallery.com.au for more information.
