EnergyAustralia Mt Piper power station civil engineer Michael Starkey has won the 2019 ANCOLD photography competition.

Working in the Lithgow region more than seven years, Mr Starkey captured a tranquil image of Thompsons Creek Dam which holds 27 million litres of cooling water for the power station.
The ANCOLD (Australian National Committee On Large Dams) competition urged people to send in an "amazing dam photo" which highlighted part of an Australian structure.
