Consistency was key for Smarties with Lorraine Dowler and Pat Kearns continually returning balls all match.

For Flakes, accurate serving by Bev Kelly combining with defensive play by Jill Young ensured their narrow 28-26 victory.

Fast hard hitting by Leanne Morgan and unflappable determination from Colinette Morris for Mars Bars started the match well, however endless stamina by Jelly Beans' Kerry Higlett and Pam Field enabled them to snatch a 30-24 victory.

Unfortunately the weather closed in and rain disrupted play for the last two sets.

Matches for June 20 were Smarties v Mars Bars and Flakes v Jelly Beans.

Susan Johns and Val Henry's court coverage started Smarties' match off well however, Marion Braat's skill and grit combined with teammate Carolyn Anidson's determination enabled the Mars Bars to triumph 30-24.

It was a closer game between Flakes and Jelly Beans with Bev Kelly and Liz Conroy's excellent defensive play for Flakes putting the pressure on their opposition.

For Jelly Beans it was Olive Ward's strategic placement and Lyn Lambert's defensive play which enabled their team to gain a 27-27 games, however Flakes gained the points on the day with a 4-2 set victory.

There was no tennis on June 27 due to rain.

For Flakes, Bev Kelly's fierce competitiveness combined with Liz Conroy's determination forced the other team to play hard with Smarties responding valiantly, Lorraine Dowler's accurate serves and Pat Keans consistency enabling them to win 27.5-26.5, on July 4.

Leanne Morgan's hard fast serves combined with Colinette Morris' placement of the returns started Mars Bars' game, for Jelly Beans Tania Sharp's speed and stamina and Pam Field's cross court returns ensured their 29.5-24.5 win.
