Lithgow Basketball Association held a junior skills development day on Tuesday, July 16 for kids to take part in during the school holidays.

Participants had the chance to learn new skills, play games and win prizes.
Lithgow Basketball director Heidi Inwood said numbers were unexpected and surprised her, with several kids turning up on the day.
"There was a huge turnout, it's been a really great day.
"This gives them a chance to have some fun and stay active during the school holidays," she said.
The junior players also had the opportunity to play basketball and learn new skills under the guidance of senior Lazers players and American imports Darreon Tolliver and Michael Johnson.

"The kids really love them and they teach them new things in a fun way," Inwood said.
Muster day
Lithgow Basketball Association will hold muster days for players from U12s to U18s wanting to sign up for the next round of competition.
The girls muster day will be held on Wednesday, July 24 from 4pm.
The boys muster day will be on Thursday, July 25 at 4pm.
Both sign up days will take place at Lithgow Basketball Stadium and all interested players are urged to come along.
