A Lithgow man has been sentenced to a six month prison term, to be served as an intensive corrections order in the community, for throwing a woman to the ground during an argument.

Brendan James Lewis, 26, has also been ordered to carry out 100 hours of community service.
According to a police statement to the court, the woman picked Lewis up from the train station at about 5pm on March 8. As she drove away, an argument began between them. He became more angry, punching the dashboard and yelling, so the woman pulled over in Main Street. She crossed to his side of the car and ordered him out.
The court heard he grabbed her and pulled her towards him, banging her chin on the car. He told arresting officers he was trying to grab her phone in order to stop her calling the police.
It was heard he then exited the car, picked her up and threw her to the footpath. Two unidentified men passing in a van stopped and intervened, leaving the man with bruises and cuts to his face. A passerby called triple zero.
For intentionally damaging property (the car's dashboard), Lewis was fined $500.
Fined
Shaun Adam Burgess, 38, of Bowenfels was fined $600 for possession of a prohibited drug in Lithgow Local Court in June.
Police searched the vehicle Burgess was in after finding it parked at on the side of the road at Lidsdale at 1.30am on April 24. There were three people in the car.
Drug charge
Ingleburn woman Joanne Yeo, 31, was found guilty of attempting to bring a drug into a place of detention on April 28 this year.
She was fined $750 for attempting to pass six buprenorphine strips to an inmate through a security screen.
Drink driving
Wallerawang man Scott John Foodey, 30, was found guilty of mid range drink driving in Lithgow Local Court on July 4. He was pulled over in Lithgow on at 11pm on March 22 and returned a positive blood alcohol reading. He has been fined $800, disqualified from driving for eight months and ordered to install an interlock device for 12 months.
