A 38-year-old Sydney man was charged with possession after his car was searched during a visit to the centre at 1pm on Saturday, July 6. Police were called after cannabis and methampetamine were allegedly found in the vehicle.
A 21-year-old Sydney man was charged after corrections officers allegedly found methamphetamine and cannabis on his person during a visit at 10am on Sunday, July 7.
Police stopped a vehicle on its way into the prison at 11am. Police allege, based on a strong smell of cannabis coming from the vehicle, officers searched it. It is alleged cannabis was found in the vehicle. An 18-year-old Fairfield man was charged with possession of a prohibited drug.
All three will face Lithgow Local Court at a future date.
Dog stolen
A desexed male German Shepherd has been reported stolen from a Marrangaroo property.
The theft occurred on July 3. Police have asked any residents with information to come forward, including any suspicious vehicles that may have been in the area.
