Lithgow Library is set to celebrate NAIDOC Week with the screening of two documentaries which highlight Indigenous voices and consider the impacts on a culture that is dominated by another.
NAIDOC week is held every year in the first week of July. This year is the year of 'Indigenous Languages' and the theme is 'Voice, Treaty, Truth'.
Both themes highlight the need for indigenous voices to be heard so we can move forward together for a shared future.
The first documentary 'Message from Mungo', will be played on Tuesday, July 9 at 12pm.
The second documentary 'Another Country as told by David Gulpilil' will be screened on Thursday, July 11 at 12pm.
Both screenings are free but bookings are preferred and can be made by contacting Lithgow Library on 6352 9100.
