Students started the day with a flag raising ceremony of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags.

The school also officially opened its PCS Yarning Garden with a traditional smoking ceremony led by local elder Aunty Kym Cama and the Indigenous Dance Group from Cooerwull Public School.
NAIDOC week celebrations included students creating two murals in the school grounds, bracelet making and watching a Bangarra Dance film.
