A WOMAN has been charged following an investigation into a single-vehicle crash west of Lithgow that left a six-year-old girl critically injured.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Sunny Corner Road at Portland just after 3.30pm on Wednesday, March 6.
A woman, then aged 32, and three girls, two aged four and the other six, were in the car at the time.
The six-year-old girl was airlifted to The Children's Hospital at Westmead where she continues to get treatment.

The woman and the two four-year-old girls were taken to Westmead Hospital and The Children's Hospital at Westmead respectively.
On Tuesday, following an investigation, officers from the Crash Investigation Unit served a Future Court Attendance Notice on a 33-year-old woman for the offence of negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
She is due to appear in Lithgow Local Court on Thursday, August 8.
