Lithgow's outside shooting was again a feature, as they dropped eleven shots to two from beyond the three-point arc, with Michael Cox responsible for six of them.
The Rams sit in last place with only one win to their names and Lithgow's starters, Michael Johnson, Darreon Tolliver, Michael Cox, Fletcher Swift and Matt Hughes, perhaps subconsciously, took them too lightly early on.
The Rams came out firing from the tip-off and stunned the Lazers with a 9-0 lead after three minutes. Lazers coach David Swift called a timeout and got his players' heads back in the game but they still trailed 21-16 at the first break.
Normal service was resumed in the second stanza, with Lithgow producing a 9-0 run of their own to hit the lead for good at 25-21. Dubbo kept in touch but the half ended with the Lazers up 45-39.
The Lazers' bench players, Adam Marjoram, Caleb Fitzpatrick, Kobe Hunter, Austyn Lincoln and Michael Brooks, along with Hayden Cox returning from a hand injury, more than matched their Dubbo opponents and the visitors won the third quarter 33-16 to go into the final period well in control at 78-55.
The Lazers held the locals at arms-length throughout the fourth quarter to record a comfortable 27-point victory, 101-74. It was a solid team effort from the Lazers, with every player getting on the scoreboard.
Dubbo's 210cm Canadian Robert Dewar kept the Lazers on their toes but he played a virtual lone hand in scoring 46 points, the next best for the hapless Rams being 6.
The Lazers travel to Bomaderry near Nowra this Saturday for a big game against the Shoalhaven Tigers. Tip-off is at 6 pm.
