The planting followed a special assembly, at which indigenous students performed dances and songs to celebrate their Wiradjuri heritage.
The girls' dance group, the Jurri-jurri gulame wagga-dine (Willy Wagtails Valley dance), performed, as did the Yidaki Mob, a didgeridoo group.
