A man was charged on Wednesday following the crash, after police allegedly found a plastic bag containing cash at the site.
Police were called to the crash on the Great Western Highway at about 5.30am on Tuesday.
Police observed a significant amount of debris in the east bound lanes prior to Jenolan Caves Road, where it appeared a vehicle had left the roadway and hit several road signs.
A white Audi sedan, occupied by two men, had suffered significant damage. It was found on Blackman's Creek Road.

Officers from Chifley Police District allege one of the men, aged 25-years-old, was seen placing a plastic bag containing cash in the bushes alongside the roadway.
He was arrested and taken to Lithgow Police Station, where he was charged with having goods in custody suspected of being stolen.
The man was released on conditional bail, to appear at Lithgow Local Court on Thursday, August 15.
