Klaus and Col won the contest 23 shots to 20.
The Pairs championship is for the Fred Foye Trophy named in honour of Fred Foye, a long-time member and umpire of the club, for his long association with the club.
"The ends were of the highest quality with precision draw bowls being played by both Klaus and Trevor the leads," Mr Foye, who watched the game, said.
"But no head was secure until after the last bowl was delivered as the skips Col and Brian would regularly roll out the shot bowl or outdraw their opponents."
Klaus and Col got away to an early lead but by the 18th end Trevor and Brian had narrowed the margin to just two.
The last end was very exciting with Trevor and Brian needing four shots to force a draw and therefore another end.
With Trevor playing ditch to ditch, both leads drew close bowls. Brian was forced to drive, hoping to force his opponent's bowl into the ditch and score a multiple, but killing the end instead.
The replay of the last end again saw a long end, and Klaus drew the shot, but with bowls behind the head Trevor drove the jack into the ditch.
Unfortunately the jack went the wrong way and Col with his last bowl drew second shot to put the result beyond doubt.
"One of the best finals I have seen in many years at the Lithgow Workmen's Bowling Club and I congratulate both teams on the quality of the game," Mr Foye said.
