Hundreds of properties are without gas in the Wallerawang district on Friday, June 14.
Gas provider Jemena is reporting 600 properties are without gas. The problem was still under investigation early on Friday afternoon.
"Due to an issue in the Wallerawang area this morning [Friday, June 14], unfortunately it's going to be necessary to turn off gas supply for around 600 properties," the company tweeted at about 1.45pm.
"We've brought in additional crews to rectify and reconnect everyone asap."
The company stated it would be issuing an update at 4pm.
