Illawarra was the first to score in the fourth and last quarter to lead 3-2 but Lithgow responded two minutes later to tie up the scores at three each.
With five minutes to go Lithgow pressed hard knowing they needed a win to progress to the final and Illawarra only needed a draw, but the side were unable to score, despite going very close on a number of occasions, after the final bell the game ended at three all.
Congratulations to Hayden Dillon and Brandan Horner who shared the player's player award and to Horner who was the tournament's leading goal scorer with eight goals.
