It was a good day for one of the Lithgow Golf Club's most consistent players, John Chadwick, when he turned in a special round during Saturday's stableford event.

Chadwick shot a two under par 70 to take out the A grade best scratch score. This added up to 41 points giving him the major voucher and finished two ahead of runner up Darren Hunter on 39 points.
Any time a golfer can finish under par, he is playing some excellent golf.
There was also good scoring in B grade with Dave Hicks returning 41 points earning him the major voucher.
Runner up was Brian Bourke on 40 points. Bourke also finished with the best scratch score with 80.
In C grade, Rob George is benefitting from a couple of weeks of constant golf returning 40 points and also scored the best scratch score of 91.
Runner up was Tom Jennings on 37 points.
Nearest the pin awards went to John Bird (winner of last week's Blue Mountains Vets competition at Lithgow), Josh Newman, Harry Bender, Steve Hall and Bill Oldfield.
The Ball competition went out to those with 35 points on a countback and better and they were Dave Titcume, Michael Bennett, Gary Keen, Brian Judge, Steve Hall, Robbie Millar, John Bird, Peter Haley, Mark Seckold and Dave Warren.
Friday nine hole competition:
Winner: Harry Bender on 28 points.
Runner up Rob George on 27.
Ball winners were Mark Willmott, Dave Duroux and Josh Jones.
