Lithgow High School is preparing for its annual musical and this year it will feature one that has never performed before.
"The kids were really pushing for it and it's a great show," director Brett Jeffers said.
The classic musical, best known for its 1978 film starring Olivia Newton-John, is being brought to life by an enthusiastic cast of students in a collaborative effort by departments across the school. With physical education helping with costumes, the science department lending a hand with props, Mr Jeffers said there is plenty of buzz about it on school grounds.
"Grease is one of those classic musicals, it makes you want to get up and dance," he said.
"It really digs into that amazing music from the 1950's."
You can book for shows (between June 30 and July 5) at www.trybooking.com/BCLTC.
