The side commenced their pre season training at the end of January with solid numbers, but lost five players within a week of the season kicking off.
Coach Dallas Booth said it disrupted the side's preparations and forced the Colts to regroup as a team.
"A lot of our players work night shift too so we can only train once a week, so with that and several injuries in our first three games it'll be hard to be full strength every week," he said.

Since New Era kicking off on May 4, the Colts took their first and only win so far of the season against the Lithgow Bears with a whopping score of 50-10.
The last two weeks have seen the side go down to CSU and Orange.
Booth said he wasn't too worried about the lack of wins early in the competition.
"We are a new team and will need time to play together, especially as some players were unable to train in the pre season," he said.
He said the overall goal for the Colts was to give the competition a shake up.
"But first we will need time to play together as a team and improve," he said.
Portland Colts will take on Lithgow Bears at Tony Luchetti Showground for a 1.45pm kick off.
