After reading 'Alpacas with Maracas' the children got the chance to meet and pat the real life alpaca.
Moey was brought to the library courtesy of Lithgow High School by agriculture teacher Jon Abbott, who spoke to the children about alpacas.
"He works to protect our sheep from wild animals and he does his job really well," he said.
It was an exciting experience for the children according to story time leader Kelly Drengenberg.
"Special thanks to Lithgow High School for bringing Moey to visit, the children loved it," she said.
After meeting the alpaca the children got to make their own maracas before enjoying morning tea with one another.
