Beaten Shooters Fishers and Farmers party federal candidate Sam Romano says he will now hold the victorious, re-elected member for Calare Andrew Gee to his election promises.

"What I am expecting from Andrew is to make more contact with the people of the electorate," he said.
"The bottom line is he won, so congratulations to Andrew but I am going to hold him to his election promises. Andrew, it is time to get up and start working."
Mr Romano said he believed the election promises included $10 million for the Conservatorium of Music in Orange, $15.7 million for the Southern Feeder Road plus funding for a mountain bike track on Mount Canobolas and an upgrade for the Orange CBD.

Mr Romano is also a councillor and the deputy mayor on Orange City Council.
He said he also wanted funding for a planned chairlift to the top of the mountain as part of the mountain bike plan.
"It would be delightful if he could include this in the funding program," he said.
Mr Romano said he would not commit to seeking to run again at the next federal election.
"Three years from now, I'm not going to make that commitment," he said.
Mr Romano said he believed the SFF had done well in the election considering they had run on a "shoestring budget.
"On two-party preferred I think the result for the Shooters Fishers and Farmers was excellent," he said.
On Saturday night at the Hotel Canobolas, Mr Romano conceded a three-week campaign may not have been long enough. "But that's no excuse," he said.
Party members said they were adamant the party would try again in Calare, and possibly Parkes, New England and the Goulburn area.
